The island has no airport of its own, but dozens of international airlines fly into the Rhodes Diagoras International Airport (IATA code: RHO). The best way to reach Chalki is to fly to the International Airport of Rhodes, with one of the numerous charter or regular flights, and then catch a correspondence. Outside airport, taxis queue to take you to one of the two ports from where you can catch a ferry that goes to Chalki. Flying into Rhodes you will go to the airport, which is in Paradisi. Halki can be reached from 2 areas of Rhodes: the central port and Kamiros Skala, which is a small port of the west side of Rhodes (45 minutes by taxi from the center of Rhodes and about 30 minutes from the airport). A taxi from the airport to the harbour at Kameiros Scala costs €45 EUR (up to four passengers).

These large ferries come through the island 2 times a week. You can either travel with them from Piraeus (22 hours) , or catch them from the port of Rhodes on the days that they pass through and will then have a 2 hour journey from the port of Rhodes to the port of Halki.
